Why there is a fine lines crack in my tile?
There a chance the tile could looks likes it has fine lines crack in it. That is called “Crazing” and it is a natural effect. Crazing is very common in our tube – lining art tiles, which was caused by the body (biscuit) of the tile and the glaze expanding the shrinking at different rates during firing and cooling procedures. It is so common that only few tiles escape from crazing. However, crazing does not impact the strength and durability of the tiles.
First, the artist used raw clay to form the tile. The artist draws the picture onto the clay by hand. Then the artist will paints a layers of glaze over it, this process is to transforms the glazes from muddy tones into vivid colors with varying colors and with varying textures. Depending of the temperature and time the tile is fired, it will result colors such as purple, red, yellow… etc. Usually the firing process takes more than 24 hours with a peek temperature exceeding 2000 degree F. These revolutionary glazes and firing techniques were developed over 20 years in period of time.
The extent and pattern of the crazing is unique to each piece of tile and is totally beyond our control.
Can backing be removed?
Yes, the backing can be easily removed by soaking the tile in either tap or hot water. If using tap water to soak the tile, leave the tile overnight and the backing will loosen. If using hot water to soak the tile the backing will loosen with in few hours. Once the backing is removed is ready to install to the wall.
Can they be installed like a standard tile?
Yes, once the backing is removed is ready to be used as a standard tiles and it could be install to the wall.
Do the tiles have texture?
Yes, the tiles do have texture and they are not flat. The tile has two dimensional contour lines that are hard to see by the picture image alone. The actual art tile has elevated outlines that you can feel with your hands, almost like reliefs. The hand painted ceramic is unique in its clear glazed shiny finish. It will sparkle as it reflects any lighting through the transparent glass-like glaze which is unlike photo copies or pictures.
Can the tile be hanged in to the wall?
Yes, all tiles could be hanged in to the wall. For size 8” X 8”, it has an additional built easel to display. For size 3” X 16” and 6” X 16”. It has a built in hook that could be hang to the wall immediately. For the size 2” X 8.5” house number, it has a hole on each tile for you to nail in the wall.
Can the tile be used as a hot plate?
Yes, the tile could be for hot plate. The temperature of the hot plate will not make the color change.
Can the tile be use outdoor?
Yes, the tile could be use outdoor or indoor.

There could be a possibility that the item you can not find is a limited edition or is currently out of stock.
Can I do a special order and submit my artwork to be use on a tile?
Definitely yes, our manufacturer can work with customer design order. Send us the image or provide us with information through info@entiles.com to get start with the special order.
What is the process of a special order and how long will it take?
Our artist will first review the Image and work with the sample. When the sample is ready, we will email you the sample’s image to get approve. (We do not deliver the sample). Once the sample got approved, we will immediately start making the tiles. The whole process will be taken approximately 2-4 weeks. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, En Vogue - Art on Tiles provide a full refund (without shipping cost), as long as the item is returned in original condition within 30 days of your initial purchase. A credit of the item’s price without a shipping cost will be made to the account.
If you would like to order the product again, we recommend placing a new order versus doing an exchange to ensure item availability.
